Pacers to Sign Former Bull Aaron Brooks

According to a multitude of sources, former Chicago Bulls point guard Aaron Brooks and the Indiana Pacers are close to agreement on a 1-year contract.

The news was originally reported by The Vertical’s Shams Charania:

Brooks shot 40.1% from the field (and 35.7% from three) for the Bulls last season, dropping 7.1 points per game. This was a steady regression from the year prior, when he averaged 11.6 points on 42.1% shooting (38.7% from three).

If the deal goes through, he’ll enter the Pacer’s backcourt mix-up which includes Jeff Teague, Monta Ellis and Rodney Stuckey. So in other words, he’ll never be heard from again.

Good luck, Aaron. We hope you do… something in Indiana.
