The Bully Pulpit

Welcome to the Bully Pulpit!

A blog by Chicago Bulls fans, for Chicago Bulls fans. Bulls news, updates, angry rants, and more!

Who are we?

The Bully Pulpit was started in July of 2016 by two friends, former college roommates, and current displaced Chicagoland-natives, Ryan Graham and Tyler Garrison. We’re both recent college graduates in our early-to-mid twenties living in Dubuque, Iowa.

What’s the purpose of this blog?

To be honest, we just want to talk Bulls.

This site isn’t about making money, it’s not our full-time job, and quite frankly, we don’t really expect it to go anywhere.

But we like talking about the Bulls, we each know a lot about website design, so fuck it— we decided it’d be fun to start a blog.

If you enjoy our articles, feel free to drop us a like on Facebook. If not, that’s fine too. We’re not basketball experts, nor will we ever claim to be. We’re doing this because it’s something we both truly enjoy. And…

No, but in all seriousness, we want you to be part of the conversation as well. Don’t be shy! Send us your thoughts! Write an article for us! Drop a comment below! Tell us why we’re dumbasses! That’s what the internet is all about!

What can I expect from this blog?

Most of the content you’ll find on The Bully Pulpit will fall into one of the following categories:

  • News & Updates: If anything Bulls-related comes across the wire, we’ll cover it here.
  • Game Reactions: Anytime the Bulls play a game (not counting the preseason, because fuck the preseason), we’ll chime in with our overall reaction to the game shortly after. Disclaimer: If the Bulls play anything like they did for the majority of last season, there’s a chance our reactions might not be suitable for a PG-13 audience.
  • Opinion: This one’s pretty self-explanatory. If we have a Bulls thought, we’ll share it with you, and then you’ll get to tell us how dumb we are!
